Wedding

A wedding ceremony in Colombia like in U.S.A. have some similarities and some differences. First of all, people get married in front of the judge in the court or in the church in presence of the priest, this is the same in both cultures. Wedding dresses are the same, brides wear a white wedding dress and grooms wear a tuxedo. In both cultures the groom can't see the bride before on wedding day. The bridegroom's family and their friends attend to the wedding, this is the same in both countries. There are some differences in both cultures, in U.S.A. the most people get married after they live together, whereas in Colombia, first people get married and then live together. They are often less complicated than us. The celebration is very simple, we spend less money than them, few people, few cars, not a lot of food, whereas in this country, they make the most beautiful party with many people like guests, photographers, waiters, musicians, a lot of food and limousine. In U.S.A. you have to call in advance if you will attend or not to the party, whereas in Colombia, you don't need to call to attend to the party. This is the easiest way to go or not any invitation. The wedding is the most important day in both cultures.
