The Biggest Turning Point
The biggest turning point in my life was having to leave my house to help my family financially when I was eighteen years-old. I relate this experience to the one of the main character in “Snake Dance”. First of all, I had to leave my family and my schooling behind to be able to help them out economically. Also, I had to learn and adjust to doing something that I had never done before. I had to learn my new job just as this character had to learn his. I believed that short after I came to the United States I would enroll in school and start preparing myself for a better future. In contrast, I worked for about two years until I was settled enough to start attending school. In conclusion, this was a turning point in my life that led to me becoming a more reliable and independent person.

Hi Noel
"leave my family and my schooling behind to..."
This sentence is confusing.
The ideea is good, and the decision that you took is very smart. I think we all have the same problem : fighting with the time and money.
