Alcoholism

There are many major problems facing the world today. As we all know one of those major issues is alcoholism. First of all, alcoholism is a disease that includes an overwhelming craving for alcohol. In fact, an alcoholic person is not able to control how much they drink and are not responsible for their actions. Also, drinking unreasonably may lead to some serious medical conditions. There are many causes and effects that lead a person to alcoholism, but just like other issues, it has a solution.
A person may have many reasons for becoming an alcoholic. For example, peer pressure, which occurs when you want to take actions because of someone else's influence. Another reason one might want to consume alcohol is because of stress. For instance, when a person feel's that they have too much to do they decide to drink to forget it all. Also, a recent cause that has been discovered is genetics. Scientists believe that alcoholism is something that passes on from one generation to the next. These are just some of the reasons that may lead a person to alcoholism.
Alcohol is a major problem facing the world today, but just as other issues it has solutions. One of those solutions is overcoming peer pressure. To overcome peer pressure people have to realize that when they drink alcohol they are not hurting anybody but themselves. There are also organizations that help people deal with alcohol related problems. One of those organizations is Alcoholics Anonymous, where many people get together to talk about their drinking problems. Another way that people overcome alcoholism is through religion. This happens when religious people serve as counselors for those who need help. In conclusion, alcoholism is very difficult to control but is not impossible. Any person who falls in this issue needs to know that there are solutions to overcoming it.

I. Causes:

a. Peer pressure

b. Stress

c. Genetic.

II. Solutions:

a. Overcoming peer pressure

b. Alcoholics anonymous

c. Religion

hey noel,
good job. its true that alcoholism is a big problem in todays society. i especially know that its a problem in many cultures, especailly in our latin traditions. i also like the picture, quite fancy. but the only this was you said the same sentence twice, "Alcoholism is one of the major problems facing the world" instead restate the same thing but diffrently. For example, Although Alcoholism is a major obstacle in todays society it can be overcomed, or whatever. but really good job.

this was an intresting blog, im just always puzzled at why teens in america feel the need to drink so excessivly. IN other countires, especailly in Europe, there isnt such a high popularity for alcohol. It makes me wonder if the drinking age was lowered would it take the fun out of getting drunk. But good blog, i enjoyed it.
