A turning point of my life

Sometimes we have turning points in our life that make us to stop for a moment and make some important decisions which may change our life. Like the main character, Jerry, in the story "Snake Dance" by Corey Ford, I gave up my plans to continue studies. I was nineteen years old, when I graduated college as a pre-school teacher. I had ambitious plans to keep studying at a university, but I knew it was a very difficult time for family to financially support my studies, so I decided to give up the university temporarily and look for a job. It was challenging to become an adult at that moment. I did not have work experience and I also did not know how to look for a job. It was a time when I learned how to earn and spend money and how to be a responsible person. I changed many jobs and I finally found work that I was interested in. The most important thing for me was that five years later I was able to continue my education at a university. The day when I graduated the university was one of the happiest days for my family and me. I am confident "this turning point" of my life was a great and priceless experience which taught me how to be strong and patient. In the story "Snake Dance" the author tells us nothing about Jerry's future but who knows? Maybe he also will have his chance to keep studying in the future. I believe the turning points of our life help us to make difficult decisions and to be strong people.

I see you know what you want from your life. It is very important to be strong and take the life as it is, but not to give up by the end of something you wanted so hard.
Good paragraph, and a very open mind.
