English and My First Language

My first language is Polish and second is English language. These languages have some similarities and some differences. Both languages have the same alphabet. They are both used for reading and writing and that is a way we can gain knowledge. In Polish as well as in English we can communicate with other people. Both languages have similarities but also, they have many differences. As for me, first major difference is that I know how to speak Polish a lot better. Second, difference is spelling. In the English language most words sound different then they are written; in Polish language however almost all the words are pronounced the same way they are written. Last but not least of a difference in those two languages is grammar. In the Polish language we only have three tenses, but in the English language there is many more. Polish language doesn't have articles such as "a","an","the". The rules which we have with our grammar are clear to understand and have small exceptions. In the English language there are rules with many different exceptions.
I think that all similarities make the second language easier to learn for people, but the differences brings difficulty.

Hi wanda
I really enjoyed reading your paragraph and I learned good things about it.
I am going to give you some ideas that can help you to improve your paragraph.

You need a comma after any transitions, do not forget that.
You use excellent transitions, but you did not use any transitions that the teacher was asking to write in these paragraphs which, are in the blueprints book page 127.
Do not forget that 'I' is always a capital letter.
good job

I think, It is not so easy to learn a new language.You tried to connect first and last sentence.In the last sentence you must check some grammar mistakes.You might find other things to compare or to find simmilarities.

Let me give you some advice:
- Your topic sentence have to be more explicably;
- don't use "I" and "me" in this paragraph;
- check spelling some words:ex. - than (then -incorrect);
- check how you make superlative form : much more (not many more),much better (not a lot better);
- don't use article before plural nouns "...in my language however almost all the words...
- try to use more comparatives.
Good luck

Topic/Concluding:
Good.
Avoid using personal pronouns (I and my) by making the paragraph general for all people.

Supporting Ideas:
You focus alot on differences and give very specific examples.
Try to find 3 similiarities and 3 differences.

Grammar/Comparitives:
